Took about a month working on it on and off in art class (which is only 45 minutes a day...not alot of time to do stuff...). Used spraypaint on construction paper (not the absorbent stype).
Basically sketched out a design in my sketchbook, then I would put a clear plastic sheet over it, and trace the design in marker. After that, I'd cut out the black parts with a matte knife, and tape the clear paper to the red construction paper...then spraypaint. Apart from being quite smelly, and losing about 10,000 brain cells in the process, was quite fun.
Sorry it doesn't look too crisp, the process wasn't perfect and the spraypaint tends to leak under the plastic a little.
I actually have a fourth panel I may scan in sometime, originally intended to be included, but my art teacher suggested I remove it, and it does look much better without. Hope you like it.
damnit, okay, i'd like to elaborate a little.. i really love the feather, it turned out perfect, and the last panel is gorgeous as well.. but the middle one confuses me a bit, not that it isn't lovely as well ;D
nice concept, and great idea in the picture, great job!

I think it is awesome! I like that in some places the paint came through and other places it looks crisp because it makes the picture more complex. It almost looks like you meant to do it or something. Spray paint is an awesome media if it is used right. I love the style here it reminds me of my own work accept a little more feminine.
